Sclerotherapy is a procedure used to malformations of blood vessel (spider veins and varicose veins).

During the procedure, a tiny needle is used to inject a specialized liquid into the designated veins. This causes the veins to collapse and the vein gradually dissolves over the following weeks and disappears.
