What is erbium laser therapy?
Erbium laser treatments remove the top layer of the skin to reveal fresh, newer skin beneath. It effectively improves skin texture, tone, fine lines, acne scarring, photoaging, and melasma on the face, neck, chest, and hands. Erbium lasers promote the production of collagen and elastin, thus enhancing a smooth, even, youthful appearance.
What is the downtime?
Your skin will need 5 to 7 days to heal following Erbium Laser therapy. During the first 3 days your skin will be very red and swollen and most clients prefer to avoid social outings during this time. With each passing day, your skin will heal and redness will reduce. You may resume normal activities as your skin heals, and sunscreen usage is essential as your skin may be more sensitive during the post-treatment phase. You will be provided with post-treatment home care instructions.
How many treatments are needed?
While significant results will been noticed after the first Erbium Laser treatment, several sessions are often required to achieve optimal results.
