IPL Therapy

Laser skincare treatment

What is Intense Pulsed Light Therapy?

Photo-rejuvenation refers to the use of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to treat conditions related to sun-induced skin damage. IPL uses a broad spectrum of light which is primarily absorbed by melanin and oxyhemoglobin and is effective in reducing the appearance of sun spots, capillaries, elastosis and fine lines.

What is IPL?

IPL or Intense Pulse Light technology is FDA approved for the treatment of hyperpigmentation (age spots, freckles and melasma; the mask of pregnancy) and facial redness caused by facial veins or rosacea. IPL improves the appearance of photo-aged skin and helps reduce fine lines, wrinkles and pore size. A non-ablative laser like light is used to gently restore the skin’s youthful appearance. The most common areas treated are the face, neck, chest and hands. Our licensed medical spa professionals will customize your therapy to meet your needs and address specific skin concerns.

How many treatments are needed?

We recommend doing this procedure in a series of 3-5 treatments. For even better results, IPLs can be combined with microdermabrasion facials to maximize improvement.

What is the cost?

Cost varies based on the number of areas being treated and the quantity of treatments required to reach your desired outcome. Prior to treatment, recommendations and costs will be discussed. We accept all major credit cards.
